Thank you card

This past few months have been very difficult (financially speaking), thankfully our friends at our local Moose Lodge were there to help fill our needs by buying us groceries and being a support system. As a thank you to them, I made this card. Lucky for me I have the Natures Gift stamp set which has a moose on it! I stamped the moose in Chocolate ink, then used versamark embossing ink over the stamped image, added clear embossing powder, then heat set.  I was very happy with the results and so were my wonderful friends at the Moose!

Baby Boy Layout

I made this layout for a friend who is expecting a baby boy in January.

LeaderShare---Seattle

Hello All!

Yesterday was spent in Seattle at Naomi Smith's Leadershare. What a wonderful day! It was so great to actually meet other consultants and gleen valuable information from them! Kristine Whitfield gave an awesome presentation as well as the others from Corporate.  The create and takes were equally awesome and I learned some new techniques that I can't wait to share with my customers. Pictures will be coming soon!

Thank you Naomi and all those who were involved in providing such a wonderful day!

Great Day...

Yesterday was a great day.  My first-born daughter came over yesterday morning and we spent the whole day scrapping together.  I was making christmas cards for an upcoming holiday bazaar and she was making a 6x6 album of her kids to send to her brother who is a Marine stationed in Africa.  Her album is turning out super cute and I know he will love getting pictures of his niece and nephew.  It was the first time that she and I have had the opportunity to scrap together.  We had a lot of fun and some great conversation.  It is nice when you share a passion with your daughter.  It really brings us closer together and gives us so much to do together! I love being able to share this hobby, business, and love with her!

So far, so good ;)

Well, I made my goal yesterday for one consultant training video.  However, for some reason my computer was acting up and didn't really want to play it.  It took almost an hour to listen to a 10 minute training.  The good news is, I did get through it and passed.

The other good news is that all my pictures are still intact on my external hard drive! Yea!  Today, I will have to get some christmas cards done and start cutting for the jr. legal pad covers and corner bookmarks.  I also have one of my new consultants coming over to get some training.  She is having problems navigating the consultant online office so I am going to help her with that and show her the order entry.

Next week (Monday), I am signing up my third consultant.  She is waiting until November because she also has a large order from family and friends that she will be putting in and wants to take advantage of November's Constant Campaign.  I have a feeling about her, and it's a good one!

Leadershare in Seattle is coming up and I am very excited not only to learn a lot of new things but also to get ideas and meet some other consultants! It should be a lot of fun!  Wish my downline would have signed up earlier so they could go with me!  I will just have to come back and share what I learn with them!

That was a CLOSE one!

So this morning I turn on my computer and ALL my pictures are gone! Can you say "Freaking Out?"...Luckily I was able to go to my external hard drive and do a restore and not only did I get my pictures back, but I even got ones back that I had thought I lost forever!  Took a while to restore all the pictures, but I got it done and now I am happy!

New Daily Goal:  Complete at least one training from CTMH Training Academy per day.  I flew through the 101 classes, but then my kit arrived and I have been concentrating on crafting instead of training.  So, I decided that the best thing to do is comitt to one training per day and then I won't feel so overwhelmed with the "To Do" list!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Galore

Today I have cut and papered 24 christmas cards.  Tomorrow I will finish the rest to make 50 cards.  After that I will start stamping characters and sentiments. But, I feel really good that I was able to do 24 cards today and still get the house work done.  It kind of helps when I know that all that will be on T.V. today is football! I can expect the same thing (football), for tomorrow night as well so I should get quite a bit more done!  It is nice to have something to do during football season! I should make a Football Widow's Layout!! That will be next on my agenda!

Thank you for your order!

I just made these corner bookmarks to put in my customers' order bags. I also attached my business card to them so they will have my name, phone number, email, and web address!

Busy, busy day ahead!

Oh the life of a CTMH consultant!  Today I have a meeting to sign up a new consultant.  I know she could have just gone on my ctmh website and signed up on her own, but she requested that I be there to help walk her through the process.  I don't mind, it will help to get to know her better! Super excited as she is my third recruit in my first month as a constultant.  I hope that I am knowledgeable enough to help her with her goals.  I know that I can always go to my recruiter for help and there is so much information on the Training Academy that she shouldn't have a problem.  She is already a talented scrapper/card maker.  She can probably teach me a few things!  At least I hope so!

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone, talk to you all again soon.

Too Early for this kind of Frustration!

Hi All,

So last night I went to Big Red Scraps.com and signed up to become a member.  I made a comment or two about artwork posted there, uploaded some images of my artwork browsed here and there, signed off and went to bed.  This morning, I get up, powered on my computer and went to Big Red again.  Only this time when I went to sign in, it does not recognize my email or password and wants me to create a new account.  O.K. I thought, maybe my registration didn't take, so I did a search of members using my name and sure enough, there I was with all my artwork and everything.  But, I still cannot sign in!  Much too frustrating for this early in the morning.  Will try again later, and if it doesn't work then, I will go back to ctmh bb and ask for help!

Hope everyone else's day starts better!

Sisters Layout

Once or twice a year, my two sisters and I have a "sisters' trip".  This means no husbands or kids are allowed to go.  It is just the three of us.  We have had many wonderfull adventures.  My sisters are my best friends, my mentors, and my advisors.  They have always been there for me when things were bad, and good.  I don't know where I would be without their love and support.

I have not added pictures to the layout yet because I am still trying to decide on which ones I want to use.

This was adapte from the Cherish book, Graphic Textures layout.  I used You Rock Level 2 paper and the Be Yourself MyAcrilyx stamp all from Close To My Heart.  I did use my Cricut to cut out the lettering.

Hope you like it.

So much for creating today..

Wanted to spend the day cutting out more paper for my upcoming craft fair, but my grandkids kept me busy all day long.  My absolutely beautiful 8 year old granddaughter can be so much fun, but she also likes to get into my things as I am trying to create and then it just becomes a big mess!  Then there is my totally adorable 2 year old grandson...always asking me to cut up the tiniest pieces of scrap paper!  Plus, he is in the middle of potty-training so I am constantly running him to the bathroom!

God bless Grandkids!  Gotta love them!

Cutting, cutting, and more cutting

So, I have spent most of the day cutting out pieces for corner bookmarks and jr legal pad covers that I will be making for a holiday bazaar that is coming up next month.  Plus, I am getting ready for a gathering for next weekend.  My head is spinning with all the measurements and cutting I have been doing.  But, I have to add that I do enjoy doing it all!  Sure beats laundry...lol.

The cutting probably would have gone a lot faster had the grandkids not been here, but how can I say no?  Oh yeah, I can't.  I love having them here even if they do get into everything including my Close To My Heart supplies.  Luckily, nothing has been ruined yet and I have been able to get quite a lot done.

Maybe I should call it a night and start up again in the morning, now that one out of two kids is in bed. The other is watching the Disney channel.  On the other had, it may also be a good time to do more cutting!

I hope you all have pleasant dreams, after all the cutting I have done today I will probably dream about that!

New to Blogging...

There are so many new things in my life right now...Just started my own scrapbooking & stamping business as an independent consultant with Close To My Heart, (www.missmary.ctmh.com), and now I started this blog so that when I finish a project I can post it here and/or the ctmh bulletin board.

Still trying to figure out how all this works, but I am sure that I will catch on fairly quickly.

I guess thats all for now..ttfn
